On Sunday, 16 February 2020, we hosted our third annual Summer Garden Party at Buitengeluk in Fourways. As promised, with its ethereal midsummer dream theme, it was our most beautiful yet!
With the help of our creative partners for the day, matter.design studio and Pick-a-Lily, we transformed the already picturesque venue into an exquisite garden landscape, filled with queens and kings wearing spectacular flower crowns. What a magnificent sight it was!
While our décor and gorgeous guests provided a feast for the eyes, our wine partners ensured a constant treat for the palates.
We had seven wine partners with us for the day:
Nero by Thapelo Mokoena and Bosman Family Vineyards
Among these seven, there were wines to satisfy any taste preference and more than enough bubbles to go around.
All the wineries brought extra stock, so guests could purchase the wines they loved right away. Those who wanted to make a bigger investment could also place an order to be delivered to their door.
We loved seeing our beautiful tribe explore new wines, discover new all-time favourites and fall in love with South African MCC.
Our wine partners also had a fruitful and enjoyable day, making lasting connections with newfound customers and selling out all their available stock on the day.

Anton du Toit from Rhebokskloof described the Summer Garden Party as a fantastic experience. “Making new friends and sharing wine and wine stories with, energetic wine enthusiasts! What an enjoyable, fun day. I am really looking forward to the next event and being part of the Joburg Wine Club journey!”
