This past Sunday was one for the books, as we hosted our final Joburg Wine Club event for the year: a Great Gatsby-themed Christmas Party!
It also served as the perfect opportunity to raise a glass to Joburg Wine Club’s second birthday, which fell on 27 November.
Once again, our tribe did not disappoint in the style department! We loved the fact that everyone embraced the theme so whole-heartedly and arrived looking their 1920s opulent best.
The newly-opened Home Suite Hotels in Rosebank served as our venue for the event and the bright summer weather was absolutely perfect for lounging on the gorgeous pool deck while enjoying the laid-back beats of DJ WenaWedwa.
Of course, our wonderful wine partners made sure that glasses were regularly topped up with some of South Africa’s best premium wines. A big thank you to Durbanville Hills, Fleur du Cap, KWV Annabelle, Laborie, Nederburg and Nero for making the magic happen!
Being a Christmas celebration, we also surprised guests with a few super special prizes. These included: a case of Laborie Rosé, a case of KWV Annabelle, a 3-pack of Nero, and a weekend for two at The President Hotel in Cape Town!
Although this was our final party for the year, we’ve already started making exciting plans for 2020. So far, you can look forward to our annual Summer Garden Party, another Royal Red affair and a light and airy Spring event.
